When one first thinks of San Jose, a few things come to mind – sunny weather, technology, the San Jose Sharks. Controversy is not one of them. Yet even as long as 100 years ago, San Jose was making the news.

This 6-pack of postcards features notable incidents that live on in infamy: the hanging at St. James Park in 1933, Executive Order 9066 and the displacement of Japanese-Americans, and the Quetzalcóatl sculpture in San Jose's Plaza de César Chávez Park. These 4x6" postcards are also tipped with foil accents.

Included: two (2) each of the Quetzalcoatl, St. James and Executive Order 9066 postcards.

In the spirit of vintage travel posters, artist Tamiko Rast created these paintings for her 'Veritable San Jose' show, presented by Cukui. More about the show can be found here.
